You guys remember how the Leafs botched the Kessel trade because they settled on Kasperi Kapanen didn't get the sure fire top pairing defenceman Derrick Pouliot? Good times.

Pouliot netted an AHLer and a 4th. Real blue chipper.

I thought it was Olli Maata. 35 goal scorers still net more than what Kessel did and we retained salary. Anyway you look at that trade it was bad. Clear as day they just wanted him out. We did get lucky with the trade I'll admit. Matthew's also provided a good high to distract us from that atrocity.

Just rewatching a Det v Tor preseason. Millard and the SN team were talking about Kadri falling on Howard...injuries to the knees, hips, blah, blah....but Greene clearly pushed Kadri on his own goalie, Howard.


I would like to see a new rule and penalties for defensemen who push the opposing player onto their own goalie. I (frank)ing hate it and it sucks for the goalies.
