John Carlson got the Caps in the playoffs last year on March 18 when he scored the GWG goal against TB. So what? They would've made it if he didn't score that goal. The Sabres would've made it if Gerbe didn't score that goal. That goal does not do anything to enhance his legacy for anyone other than you. It's only a highlight because of how ridiculous the goal was, not because it clinched a playoff spot. If he just jammed in a rebound or scored any other routine goal, you wouldn't even be able to remember the goal or find a highlight of it.

It is scary, crazy to be sure...God forbid it happens again.
It is a big world out there though, lot's going on, with RELATIVELY few incidents.
That said, it sucks for those who were impacted in some way, I feel for them and their families.

Agreed. My wife got a call at 1AM here asking if we had heard from my parents. We were both clueless because I have to be up at 3:30AM. My wife called my mom and they said they were okay, just trying to hear back from those that stayed at the show.

My daughter was 4 on 9/11. My son was 3 months old. I didn't have any warning it was gonna be like this.

However, they're surprisingly numb to the whole issue.
