If they keep Alzner with Petry, you'd have to think he may start with Weber after all. I mean, why not? Unless Bergevin make a trade for Barrie or someone, he's their best option.

play him with Weber, and if needed (at the end of periods or of the game) switch him to the 3rd pair. but honestly he doesn't hurt the team defensively, not yet.

If he can't play there I think Bergevin has to make a trade. He will probably make some mistakes from time to time, but I think we should live with that. Maybe give some ice time to Alzner with Weber from time to time, like you said, at the end of the game or periods if need be, but that's it.

The others guys we have seen are not the solution and are not no2 defensemen in this league anyway.

I only caught half of the game, but I did not notice him too much out there. I only heard his name a few times. Maybe others will have a better assessment than mine.

I wonder if they have all of their defensemen figured out yet. Schlemko has been out and I don't know who stands out for that 6th spot (assuming Mete has earned more than that 6th spot).

Oh well. I see his point, but what are the options for him outside of him? They have been playing Alzner with Petry from day one I think.
