It gets worse. The Devils are 3 for 3 so far on the PP. Thats 3 more PP goals than the Flyers have all pre season.

Why not new coach of PP HAKstoL son KNOBlauk help score more goals?

All kidding aside I think the 2nd PP unit has a good chance of being a lot better this year. So far in the pre season the Flyers have been using the same umbrella setup. Won't surprise me to see something different first game.

If I have to stop clowning around for a moment... and I guess I do...

I'm inclined to agree. I think they'll get the PP sorted out. One thing that Charlie O'Connor brought up in a column today (and another thing to worry about! cuz we need more things to worry about!), was that the Flyers will likely be undergoing an adjustment period to their PP, just at the time (beginning of the season!) when the most rule-change driven penalties will be called.

On a related note, I also think the PK will be better. For one thing, whoever is taking the PK draws at the start of the PK will almost certainly be a better FO guy than Bellemare was. And that has to help at least a little.

Also, if the 4th line as top PK unit theme continues... this years 4th line is almost certain to be light years better than last years.

Laughton is a hell of PKer nowadays, we don't have VandeVelde out there, even Patrick and Lindblom are good defensive forwards who could kill penalties if needed... and all of a sudden we have Morin and Hagg to roll out on D as well.

I'm not saying the PK is gonna be top 5 but it should be at the very least not a liability. Similarly, the 2nd PP shouldn't be a liability either with the influx of superior personnel compared to last year both in offensive D men (Sanheim, Provorov on a bigger role) and better forwards (Lindblom, Patrick) to fill out the unit.

When all is said and done I think our special teams shouldn't hold us back this year

You know for a guy with a supposedly elite shot, Patrick never shoots the puck. And he never scores. Why is that? He was supposed to be the better shooter of the two. But all Nico is doing is scoring. Nico has 3 points this game. Patrick does not have 3 points this pre-season I do not think. This is concerning. In conclusion, this is not good. I want to thank you for reading my post.

If Blues play poorly won't they just defer the 1st round pick until 2019?
