They tried to last year and finally Ghost had had enough and just started playing the game that got him to where he is today.

I don't agree with that premise one bit.

It was from the strain of waiting on all those fairy dust AHL passes to get to him at the point that never came.

Just blew out his damn ACL.

Damn - did the send him down to the Blazers?

Honestly I have a hard time with only 2 of 3 young dmen making the team. What I mean is that they all bring a different aspect to their game. Hagg is just that steady guy, Sanheim bring an offensive/dynamic side and Morin a physicality. Eliminate their ages/experience from the equation I see all 3 making it on merit.
- nastyflyergirl[/quot

Once again I could not agree more. Sanheim and Gost on the pp with Giroux, Voracek and Simmonds would be my first choice. Having to worry about a blast from either point is exciting. The power play is so predictable, same set up every time and you wonder why it is ineffective. The opposition study videos and adjust to defend i.It usually ends up with Giroux trying to set up Gost for the one timer. By adding Sanheim to the right point gives Gost a chance to feed Sanheim for the big blast. It just adds another option to the pp. Hakstol is blind if he can not see the pp being telegraphed, it needs a different look.

Not MJL but I'll give it a go.

Patrick isn't going to play more minutes then Couturier this year. If your plan is to match up Couturier against the other teams top line then he will be on the ice more then Patrick.

Also this is Nolan patrick. Not Connor McDavid. I have no doubts Patrick will be a great player. But he has developing to do. He isn't on McDavids level.

- J35Bacher

I should have added if the job get to be too much for Patrick you could drop him to 3C in favour of Couts. If the kid can handle it let him run with it, ditto the three young dmen who at this point should be on the starting roster. Bottom line for me is Couter will never produce offense like Patrick and if Giroux is healthy get him back at center.

He did say it:

"It's pretty cliché but I just said I'm going to go out there and have fun. I'm going to make plays and I don't care if I get yelled at," he said with a smile, "but I'm going to play my game and make my plays. People can look at is as risky but most of the time it works out for me."

Looks slow. Could benefit from larger equipment.

Is that a first basemen's mit and is he even wearing shoulder pads?

Wasn't that a Carolina game where he scored in OT?
- Hckygoalie31

No, this was in 14/15. The Carolina game was the next year.

Thanks.. I was gonna try to find it but you grabbed it for me.

Im sure he will have some sort of vague "he never said that they were holding him back" rebuttal. It was clear as day.

When you go into those dank areas, it's time for me to turn my car around and go home.

I remember him saying it and he was looking good late in the season and has looked good so far. So it's working. As long as all three rookies stick on the blue line, I think this D corps is going to be amazing to watch get even better.
