Observations:

- Laughton looks like he figured it out. Used his speed well defensively. Solid PK work.

- Thought top line played well. Couturier created some chances with a couple nice plays. Thought Voracek was fighting the puck a little.

- Patrick does everything well in a quiet fashion. not flashy. Just a solid pro.

- Thought MacDonald just looks like he doesn't belong. Even with the goal he just kind of looks odd out there with the talented youth.

- Thought morin was solid. Hagg was a his quiet self. Sanheim played well, had a tough turnover on the first goal but I also think Elliott didn't get out of the way quick enough.

It was interesting what Hexy said about Laughton during the break. How he was really disappointed in Scott, but he went down to Lehigh and figured out what kind of player he needed to be and really turned it around.

seeing the list of waived players makes me more confident they could get Leier down, though it just takes one person to like him enough to make a claim

It was. It was also the only think in that entire interview that actually shed light on anything rather than just the normal GM speak.

I seriously hope all 3 kids make the team. I kinda feel bad for Hagg in the sense that he isn't going to flash in any way. he just plays a steady game whereas Morin is that physical monster and Sanheim has the offense flash.

I would love to see them break camp with all three along with Lindblom, Patrick and Leier (don't expect him to make it tho cause of numbers).

Curious about Vecchione. Thought he was slated to play last night. Not sure how he is even getting a chance playing in only 2 pre season games.

I was at the game and being there i decided to watch Lindblom and patrick close. i really am impressed with their hockey intelligence

-agree with pretty much everything your saying....I wonder if they have thought about Patrick in the middle of Giroux and Vorecek.

-I also believe that all three rookie D men are better options then Manning as well. That's not a huge knock on Manning.

-Hextall has done a great job with the cap, which allows him to make the proper decisions based on talent and not have to make decisions based on a guys salary.

I thought maybe Vecchione was sick or slightly banged up when the called up the Russian kid.

Vecchione has only played once all preseason, back on 9/20 in Brooklyn. And then they called up Vorobyev to play ahead of him last night. It's odd.

Tonight I thought Sanheim wanted the puck more and was lugging the puck more. If it's there for him, he can take it end to end, which is nice to see. He keeps his head up, he's a good passer.

I thought, save Gostisbehere who was pretty clean tonight, all the Dmen had some ragged spots. For the rookies, there might have been some yips playing in the big home building for the first time this year. Right now, I think the Top 3 of Provorov-Gostisbehere-Gudas are locked. After that, I like and want to continue to watch Sanheim and Morin in that order. Then it's three guys battling for the 6-7 spots.

I was at Kingsman so I didn't see the game, but I saw Bill say on twitter Ghost was doing some of the things that got him benched last year.

Morin's strength is amazing. The amount of torque he can gets when you couple his size with his strength is unreal.

Yeah, Hexy was pretty cagey about everything else, including Morin and Sanheim.

I saw he'd written that. The Flyers were down 2-0 when I turned on the game so it may have been early or Bill is able to pick up things at the game I wasn't able to spot on TV.
