I doubt it, he's already on the underachievier list

He might, but he's not off to a good start. He should have come out flying.

And he was with mcdavid although look how many guys can't play with Crosby. Still he just seems to be missing that desire or drive

Honest question as I don't follow the Islanders that much. What's going on with Dal Cole? High draft pick with a load of talent. I figured he would have been a lock on the team by this point.

Maybe just taking longer to develop?

Yeah I get that but he played wing mostly with JT for a bit and then with Nelson that first year. His FOs are dreadful and his defensive zone play at center wasn't that impressive. He was back at wing after a brief stint at center.
Agree all in all he was good that first year but the second coming of Bergy? That's what I had a big problem with.
He's on the wing with Edmonton which is where he belongs and I wish him luck.

I do. He joined HockeyBuzz in 2016. He needs time to develop into the cynical sarcastic poster that is normally found on this site.

It could be he needs a little more time but he has not really wowed anybody. He should be tearing the AHL up but hes not. Not to mention that Ho sang, barzal and beau have blown him away on the depth chart. They have come out ready to go and he looks lost at times. The other rookies passed him and have made a case to stay in the NHL full time, even bumping vets like kuli and chimer out of a spot.

I have been watching all the preseason games and i didnt realize dal colle was in a few i watched....

I mean for Fs sake devon toews stepped in as a forward to replace dal colle and scored a goal

Yes and let's be honest here the players like it. In the past it was dump, chase, block, clog, roll 4 lines

It does Pete. You have to make adjustments as coaches and cannot stick with things that are not working. It's fair to say this team can use more talent, but there is no debate this team was poorly coached.

I forgot which Ranger it was but, a few years ago, after the Islanders beat them, in a post game interview, the Ranger said that the Islanders were hard to play because they had no structure. There was no system so when you play them, you never know what they're doing.
