McD is not as good because he hasn't got the same 200 foot game as Matthews. I get it.

Sid is old, Matthews is young. I get it.

It's just when goals were brought up before there was no comparison to anything else. And funnily enough it was only goals & not points. The Hart wasn't mentioned either. But I'm sure our latest Hall of Famer will win them all this season (if he plays, he doesn't have to ).

Matthews was first with game winning? First with Jesus can't remember how many even strength goals second in scoring. And Babcock weren't let him go! Hr had to play a 200 ft responsible game! If he was able to just go he would of put up way more goals imho

not comparing the 2, but it will be interesting to see how matthews responds in year 2 on a roster with a much better top 6 then what jack has.

Too early to say yet for sure - either way - different skill set, McDavid is faster, Matthews has great hand eye co-ordination. Need more data to make a fair comparison.

So again, Schiefele moves up ahead of Matthews after one year that is comparable to Matthews.... But Matthews needs to have another year to move up the ladder.

Some guys have one year (in their 4th season) and move up and others and other guys have years comparable to that guy and yet aren't concidered to be as good as that guy until he has a second year?
