It's a tough situation for Matthews. Leafs have offensive depth few teams can match and it's this depth that will likely see Matthews get less ice time and opportunities than teams with less depth than the Leafs. While it's good he has talent around him that talent is spread among 4 lines. How many NHL teams will have a 20 goal scoring year old rookie on their 4th line potentially?

I like to get banged up... thoroughly and consistently enough that I'm sure most would classify me as an alcoholic/drug addict.

But reading Hunter's posts the last few months there is little doubt in my mind that he is either borderline illiterate or a raging alcoholic, or perhaps a combination of both.

The guy is seeminly greased at all hours of the day, which takes dedication.

I really do hope all these young guys progress & continue their development (except Matthews - he doesn't need to), because if they can the competition is going to be fabulous. Seriously (this time - & the time about the moon). If the young guys get going it will push the older guys to be better as well - that's why I believe Sid played so well last season due to McD being called the new best player.

And if the Leafs young guys can all fire, (frank) me, look out!!!

Someone did mention it before, 1 young gun may have to go to get that dman you guys need. Which 1 is the question???

That post was actually serious.

Daley won 2 cups with 'us' (we are 1, we are united, we are the fans ). I wouldn't be targeting that type of player if I were you though! He did what was needed of him & he helped win. Can't ask for anything more than that. I wish him well at Detroit.
