Oh that's Malarkey James. There are times you write ,trying to prove something using analytics, where you are indeed serious, and you get upset when people don't agree with your poorly argued 'facts'. Maybe not upset, but you sure go on and on and on about it. Not the actions of a man who doesn't want to be taken seriously.

But this comedy piece was pretty good. I laughed a few times.

Don't misunderstand me, I'm not saying that i don't care, or that everything is a joke. I genuinely enjoy arguing about hockey, but this is just for fun.

I have never taken myself seriously. Its why i mix it up jn the comments section: this is a hobby. I'm not going to go apply at tsn or try to be a real hockey guy . I have no expertise or professionalism or goals.

Sports writing is generally pretty boring and my job is to be provocative and entertaining. I just try to be the hockey writer I'd want to read.

And also to point out that the so called experts are boring and safe and often conflicted.

Anyways, in no way do i consider myself a hockey expert and that should be readily apareant by all the poetry references.

Pointing out you are doing things you admit to doing in the comments isn't getting pissy. You don't want people taking you seriously. No one does. So 4 for 7 predictions isn't that bad at all

Buffalo will be better this year, with Eichel hopefully not missing the first 20 games of the year their offense should be much better, my sleeper pick. They actually allowed less goals that Toronto did but they scored 50 less goals, if their offense kicks in, who knows.

Eichel will finish top ten in scoring!!

It actually is. A troll is someone who contributes nothing and - for example - shows up on a certain blog every single day to complain like an idiot.

A writer is supposed to be provocative. It's not 'trolling' to make people think and/or challenge their views or ideas. And if it is, we're in a really sad place because all that does is encourage conformity and limit creativity and intellectual pursuits.
