Yeah, those concussions (frank)ed up some promising progression. I thought he had an OK first game, but struggled vs Calgary.

That's been his MO for the past few years. Looks okay to downright dominant and then looks like an ECHL player the next.

For sure, I doubt he is claimed and doubt he would be kept up because of it but as with everyone his emergence last year was surprising.

I would bet they will send him down early as well but it would be fun to see him in another game.

- belcherbd

Yeah McEneny is a nice internal surprise but under the NHL radar. This is probably the last game to see most most of them. Canucks have only two preseason games left with vet core back to work out roster.

Expect the culling with waiver triggers pulled after TG finishes his video review of the B squad. I'd say out of B group only Rodin, BB, JV, OJ and maybe Goldy to get another look next week. The A squad will have cuts too before Flames game.

Your boy Subban is being rested along with Brock. Sounds like he's a lock to make the team.
- Nucker101

No Juolevi in that lineup, either. I'm glad to see LaPlante get another look after his good game against Calgary at Young Stars.

I wonder if EDM will be afraid:

Carcone-Chaput-Virt
Rodin-Megna-Goldy
Archibald-MacEwen-D'Aoust
Molina-Cassels-LaPlante

Saunter-Holm
Pedan-Brisebois
Chatfield-McEneny

According to Cull, it gives him a chance to see more players with Boeser and Demko out.

Don's gonna need a new set of pom pom's and some ice for his arms after all these doubleheaders
- Nucker101

Not sure what you are talking about but I hate prospects. Subban the most

He definitely belongs in the AHL. I wonder if there will be some interesting waiver scraps.

Vegas alone has 2-4 D that might have to be waived. Lindbohm in St. Louis might be on waivers. Although I can't remember how it works with guys on IR like Bouwmeester.

It's seems with the line up they are determining ECHL/AHL assignments for most and for Rodin and Goldy to prove they get a look with vet group.

With OJ out and Sautner in today are you reading anything into it? Like they made decision to see OJ with vet group?

Vegas muffed up so hard. Imagine if they stole Vatanen and Brodin and didn't focus on taking 8 mediocre D. Vatanen + Brodin > Stoner + Theodore + Tuch

It's a tough call, I think that they made the right choice in maxing out draft picks.

2017 - 3 1st and 2 2nds
2019 - 3 2nds and 3 3rds
2020 - 3 2nds

I think they also didn't want to burn too many bridges with other GM's who obviously would rather give up picks and assets to protect some of those players.

Vatanen and Brodin were looking like more impressive players when they first entered the league, Tuch and Theodore still have that potential to be difference makers.

Well McPhee did some extorting for the ex-draft & now getting the squeeze for dregs.

Idc if all go on waivers to increase the crap to pick from by other teams lol

Maybe Red has a take on the Lazar situation. This article below is suggesting he might get waived.

If van gets Lazar from Cgy through waivers, essentially it's as if Van got a second for Dan Hamhuis.

Lol say what you will, but atleast he brings a degree of excitement to the games...on both sides of the puck.

I think I would rather paint a small square on my wall and watch it dry as opposed to viewing that gang of busts.

Lazar has shown more in the NHL and AHL than Virtanen though so how that means Jake is done too?

Curious if that scenario plays out where would you slot Lazar on Canuck roster?
