He played well. Didn't know his shot was so good. I think Puljujarvi gets sent down in favour of him. He could be a nice fit on the 3rd line with Nuge and Jokinen. All defensively responsible, all with some scoring ability.

Well damn, I see your guys points. You all make some good cases. Maybe I was starting to become negative in a contextual sense.

Understandable. However, I worry about the long-term aspect of this team. Sure, we might have a couple of shots at the cup in the next coming years, but what about after that? Maroon, Lucic, Sekera, Talbot, and a few others will be in their twilight years by then. We will need to be relying heavily on drafting and developing by then.

I do have one more question though.
Ellis or Brossoit, and why?

Why be worried about prospects at this point? We have a tonne of good defensive and goaltending prospects, a few very highly touted forward prospects, and all of our own draft picks in future drafts.
