If Khaira continues his decency dues, along with JJ continuing to do well, we could possibly see Maroon gone for some picks (maybe 2nd and a 3rd?). Thing is, Chia is actually considering to extend him and knowing him, the price is gonna be high. If it's over 3m per for 3y+, well, crap.

I would love Chia to adopt a strategy similar to Sather's but we all know that ain't happening.

He played well. Didn't know his shot was so good. I think Puljujarvi gets sent down in favour of him. He could be a nice fit on the 3rd line with Nuge and Jokinen. All defensively responsible, all with some scoring ability.

There definitely aren't Maroon's available everywhere. Just all part of his "I hate Chiarelli" nonsense. Grabbing Maroon was one of the best moves Chiarelli has made so far as GM. He's tough, he's got skill, and he has an amazing contract that Anaheim is eating $500,000 of. Guys making $1.5 mill don't score 27 goals very often. I don't know where we could duplicate that production from at a similar price tag.

Nobody's going on any ihateiggy rants. Great pickup. Great contract. Great guy that is well liked in this city. But no chance we can find his goal production at his current price tag elsewhere. At 4 million, there would be tonnes of available options. As I already stated, wingers are the easiest position to replace. There's many available every offseason. Also, a reason why I didn't mind trading Hall and Eberle away. Settle down potatoface.

We all know the last couple years of Lucic's contract sucks, but it's the price of doing business in UFA. He's not untradeable with that contract either. We've seen horrible deals get moved all around the league. Always someone that needs to reach the cap floor.

Not if it costs us 4mill+ per year for the next 3 or 4.
I would have been okayish with that deal had Chia not signed Russell to a 4m/4y deal.

I sincerely hope that Maroon doesn't get too greedy and settles with 2.5-3, but if he is looking for anything north of that, especially above 4m, trade him.

We need to restock our offensive prospect boards as much as we can and utilize the ELC method as well as we can in these following years. That's the only way this team stays a playoff team, hell even a contender after 10y+. The Russell deal was already a bad move in the wrong direction.

Except Lucic has a full no move clause for the entire contract. He controls everything.
