I get the Hyman thing and for the first 50 games it was great, but seemed like at the end of last season and playoffs he was much less effective at digging for the puck and coming up with it. Maybe he got tired or maybe dmen were more ready for him. He also loses it a lot and misses some decent passes so I dunno if I'm totally sold on him as a permanent winger for Matthews. A guy like Brown seems to be able to do similar things as Hyman but can also handle the puck. - 13sundin13

IF you look at the highlights of the playoffs goals Hyman is quite involved in a number of Matthews/Nylander goals.

I suspect that as long as he continues his current growth, that spot will eventually go to Grundstom.

It's in the blog (quote from Babcock) - Garth_Mctavish
Hyman "gets the puck back better than anyone else".
The 'takeaway' stat shows him 7th among forwards on the team. I know it's a stupid stat, but when Matthews and Nylander have twice as many, it does cast doubt on the idea that Hyman is digging out the puck for them.
Wouldn't the line be better with someone who didn't have Freddy Sjostrom hands?

Teams are notoriously private about their sports science data, but it’s very interesting that Toronto decided it will keep 49 players until the end of camp. That’s exactly the kind of thing that department would recommend. With the length and intensity of the NHL season, why waste energy in exhibition?

Watch him get picked up off waivers and wins the Norris. Typical Laffs luck. Just like Peter "Art Ross" Holland.
