Play him with an nhl ddefenceman instead of Hutton who shouldn't have made the team last year. Gud was great at preventing entry, best on the team, just needs to play with someone who can actually transition the puck, not flirt with transitioning the puck.

Put him with edler and put mdz with tanev... waive Hutton and pay Biega instead.

Let's watch him play a full healthy season and then maybe judge?

His wrist was injured not his legs feet or brain. He may have full strength in his hand but that should not have affected his being out of position last year.

I think as this year goes on you will see he is a 5/6 guy.

I actually like the new rule changes. Players will learn . I think in the long run it will help with the flow

I remember when Gaudreau had like 31 slashes to his hands the game against Minnesota when Eric Staal broke his hand and he was out for a super long time. It wasn't until then when I realized how bad it was. I am all for the new slashing rule. I am very strongly opposed to how they are handling the faceoff violation though. Ref's can't look at both players feet, focus on sticks, and drop the puck fairly. There is too much going on.

The hash marks have been there for years. Now they decide to enforce the skate blades being fully behind it? No way of proving center ice skates either with no hash marks. Absolutely idiotic rule being enforced.

I'm willing to give it an 82 game season to see. He very well may be a #5 dman but we need what he brings in his role. Now if he shucks his role like Bieska did his past few seasons that will be the biggest problem. I don't expect the guy to break 20 points that's not why he's here.

The whole debacle is a Bettman joke. Why send two teams that will both most likely miss the POs? If you want to sell the game why not send Pittsburgh and Nashville the two teams from the cup final? Or send Oilers with McJesus vs the Caps and OV?

The reffing is bad enough as it is now they have two dozen more rules to implement...the whole thing is a giant fu**ckin Buttman joke.
