Sbisa is a fine depth D and doesn't deserve so much criticism. EG was injured.....EG was injured....Eg was injured.

Just to be clear are you saying that EG was injured in the games he played which caused him to suck or that he only played a partial season and its too early to judge him?

Is his wrist still injured? So far he's been handling the puck like a grenade.

I'd like to see him be more physical, the guy is huge and he's trying to play like he's Tanev, even though his stick and foot work is nowhere near as good as Tanev's. Dude needs to play to his strengths.

Yeah he will sign a long term for sure but there is zero chance he signs a show me deal. He would be a fool to opt that on a bad club instead of hitting the open market

On a show me deal this year already

It wasn't last year

His zone entry prevention numbers were way worse than Tanev's and Edler's. And our Demers, oh and even Hamhuis

Yes, lat year he was pretty poopy, i don't judge him on last year though, and i feel his value is greater then just on the ice. Especially if he gets back that mean steak and plays within himself. He's 25, he's tough and he has played at an elite defencive level before.
If he can keep opponents honest and provide a little physical backbone to protect the youngsters as well as play like his career numbers suggest, he's worth 5.5 x 7.
He's 25, he's not going to regress unless injured and that's the going rate for a physical non offensive defence first defender with his skill set. I think that yes its all-out of money but treats the market these days.

I know that! I started the argument that Guds is worth more then Demers. I remember Demers defending in the playoffs for Dallas. It was embarrassing. Guds last season was better defending then Demers ever has. Defensemen that score and can't defend don't do poop for me.

Reason why Ottawa took the next step last season. Karlsson added shooting blocking and actually playing some D to his game.
