Oh believe me, I'm aware, but if you figure out a way to lure a Fortune 500 company here, that can change. Part of it is about demand. The fact that Frontier Airlines is coming here is proof of that.

Compare them to other slightly larger cities, even cities where the airlines have dumped their hub agreements (Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Cincinnati, etc.), they still have at least twice as many nonstop destinations as Buffalo does.

- buffalofan19

Yeah, that's true, but the airport isn't really built to handle it. The runways are too short, and the terminal is tiny.

Detroit is a good example of an airport that can serve as a mini hub, it's got 6 runways, including 1 that is 30% longer than Buffalo's "long" runway. And all the rest are at least as long with 3 being longer than our "long" one.

I think he's gonna surprise some people this year. He'll still have some bone headed plays in his own zone but I think his point production is gonna take off

That's very true. Flying out of Pearson costs you 2 hours but saves you hundreds internationally. Buffalo doesn't need to be an "international city" though, it just needs to be marketed for 4 season activities in a metropolitan setting. Buffalo won't ever be on the same international stage as NYC, but it has as diverse portfolio of activities as anywhere else.

Plus, the weather won't kill you like other places, which is a plus

I don't want him here, but I think the league should look into what's going on in Toronto. I know he deleted the comments he made and all that, but something isn't right. If the league actually did it's due diligence like they should, they would investigate it regardless of his retraction/apology.
- HonkFortheGoose

It's Toronto. You really think the league would even slap them on the wrist, let alone investigate and punish them?

Neither will the wildlife. Don't have to worry about stepping on a rattlesnake or a scorpion, or getting mauled by a mountain lion while you're communing with nature like out west.

People in LA have snake bashing sticks, mainly golf clubs. They have problems at dusk, they slither on to people's driveways where the concrete is still warm. That's just the actresses, and then they have to deal with the rattlesnakes.

Scorpions are definitely a thing in the desert, you should always store shoes upside down.

Miami has a special until of animal control that deals with venomous snakes.

I'm not making poop up.

The mountain lion thing might be a stretch, but it does happen.

The mountain lion thing happens out west. I know someone that lived out in Redwood City and had a mountain lion on her front porch the one day.

No poppers either. If it's going to be a reenactment of the Schmidt's Gay ale commercial, you're gonna need poppers.
