This may sound like ole' Wedgie is ragging on them, but the truth is, that was exactly what they were taught to do.

Canadian hockey demands that wingers play a two-way game. We are the only hockey nation on earth that does this.

As a result, Canadians don't produce good wingers. We simply don't.

If you think I'm crazy, look at the last 40 years of HHOF inductees - I'd be willing to bet that 80% of the Canadian forwards elected were centres, not wingers.

Or look at any Team Canada lineup - most of our wingers are centres who we move over for the tournament.

Great post Wedgie: And it is quite true that most of the forwards elected to the Hall are centres. I have only one player to mention just to be a contrarian. Mike Bossy - right winger, drafted 15 th over all - still makes me sick to my stomach that the Leafs picked twice before 15th and took John (lousy hamburgers) Anderson and Trevor Johansen ahead of Bossy. All Bossy did was play 10 years won four cups and scored an unbelievable 1126 points in 752 games. Most under rated player ever. Never mentioned as an all time great - but he was - and he played right wing. No Russian ever is even close.

Fedorov was an excellent hockey player - less than a point a game guy though- even if he could defend. Not as good as the others. On the plus though he did to Kornikova what Trump is doing to the American people.

I would feel much better if marnincin was practicing with ECHL guys

will take some extra salary cap maneuvering to get one of them in. a big move to get both in.
