Depends how you define "great". It's got depth, four quality NHL centers, the makings of three scoring lines and enough elite talent. What more do you expect aside from more proven (and thus more expensive) players?

I'd disagree with the assessment of looking like gold but I guess that's up to the individual. He certainly scored like gold, but he really didn't look nearly as dominant as Laine or Aho.

As for looking like "dirt" (apparently), I'll remind you again that he's 19.

I think the thing is that how good are even the "proven " guys like lucic/maroon/nuge/jokinen even strome?

They've shown they can be real good players in the past, but none have shown they're anywhere close to elite players (maybe lucic for a time, in his own capacity anyway)

The group Certainly shows depth, but any one or more of those guys could easily struggle

And then obviously the huge question marks in slep/cagg/puju etc

It's a strange group. Not sure how to feel about it.

It's called spreading out the depth. Caggiula played well with McDavid (although everyone does) in the playoffs and they have chemistry. Caggiula works hard and goes in corners and has a decent release. Stop.

It's true he just flat out, out talented/sized/skated most of his opponents. And that's not so different than many highly talented players in that age Group that kinda disregard system Play to just outgun everyone.
And while u might think there were tons of pro type flaws in his game, im not sure there's any denying his dominance.
