I saw the highlight. Was a bomb. Throwback slapper. Don't see to many of them. Hopefully he develops nicely in Hartford

Trump was absolutely right to call out the anti Americans who kneel for the National Anthem.

Not talking about it and hoping it goes away sounds like the dumbest approach to pretty much anything I have ever heard. Some discussions need to be had. I personally applaud him for not just saying whatever people want to hear. You either love this country or you don't. You don't get to disrespect the country as a whole with no repercussion, just because you feel a certain way. If you have something to say, no matter how noble you think your message is, or what your opinion is, to force it on your organization is irresponsible and selfish. Sure they have every right to do it, but it doesn't make it a good thing for them to do so.

Yes you absolutely can burn a flag, but does that make it cool? Only if you are anftia or some twisted far left extremist idiot. There are problems with anything including this country, but this "if I don't get things the way I prefer, I will just sit out and refuse to cooperate at all" approach to everything from the left is so childish and regressive it's become beyond ridiculous at this point. As a moderate who has been observing this whole thing, I wish the cry ass liberals would just shut the (frank) up already. Face it, Clinton was terrible and awful. Expected it and failed miserably. Game over, go back and try again.

Trump says what he thinks, and at this moment in time he represents our country here (like it or not), that flag and that song are what he is (or should be as a president) all about. he doesn't go around saying things that he thinks would be popular, he says what he represents - AMERICA FIRST. No PC filter bullpoop. If there is a problem, okay let’s talk about it. But lets not pretend its okay to completely disrespect the entire country and force what ‘you’ see as important down the throats of the average guy trying to get away from his average man’s grind with a little sports action. Let the guy watch his game and do what you are paid to.

If it were some player opposing gay marriage or some other traditional religious view not held as respectable by many, people would be all for the team firing him, and labeling them something vile, (bigot, racist, insert label) saying "just because it's his right doesn't make it okay", right after doing the very same thing, being purposefully obtuse to how hypocritical it all is to jump sides on an issue depending on your opinion.

Rights and freedoms transcend opinions, but that doesn't mean we can't speak out against your particular form of protest, just like you. Take a knee all you want. We reserve the right to think you are disrespectful idiots for doing so, and then to proceed to not support you accordingly.
Most employed people have to keep their personal opinions on a personal level. At home, on your own, talk about it all you want, organize and speak out even, wonderful, do it up. But when you are representing a company, or a professional sports brand you do as you are (frank)ing told or you get fired plain and simple.

If you’ve ever had a friend, brother, husband, father, etc. come home in wrapped in a flag you wouldn’t care much for people kneeling and disrespecting them and what they died for, so they can make their point, whatever it is. Pro sports are for entertainment. If you erode the entertainment value in whatever way, it will be a lessor product and if you are the proprietor of said devaluation, you should be dealt with accordingly.

Trump in his own way disrespected the flag when he invented having "heel spurs" to get out of going to Vietnam.

Please tell me another American male born in 1946 who went to Military school who DIDN"T go to Vietnam.

Athletes who are kneeling aren't doing it for a protest against the military, they are doing to protest how they perceive inequality.

Also burning a flag and kneeling during the anthem is such a dumb comparison.

Both are about people having the right to do something others view as distasteful.

I will always defend that right. But I will always call the distasteful for what it is.

Burning a flag shows a clear sign of disrespect and ignorance. Kneeling during a National is highlight what you feel is wrong with society.

Buring a flag is (almost always) viewed as people who hate america.

you know's funny, Trump has probably voted "liberal" and donated more to "liberal" candidates over the years than you could possibily imagine

he was smart enough to see that there was a way to win the presidency by appealing to America's dumbest, and OH MAN did it work

Liberals are pretty okay, they will at least have a converstion. What we have running rampant are unhinged leftists that are unwilling to have any objectivity whatsoever. Most people are pretty moderate. Hard to tell with all the sceaming idiots out there though.

Most of Trumps agenda has been about trade and jobs, both of which he is doing pretty well on. He has communicated his stances nationalist trade approaches for 30 years. TPP was terrible and we are far better off for being out, just like the Paris deal.

But yeah hicks and such.
