Yea man I think anyone who is slow just can't play on this team. They stick out like a sore thumb and bring the play of the other 4 guys they're on the ice with down if they can't keep up. It happened with Boyle, Girardi, now Staal. It's why I'm so against bringing in Jagr or Vanek or anyone else that's older and slower. They will not fit in.

Kid had a hell of a game for an 18 year and 2 week old prospect coming off a groin injury where he wasn't really skating for the past 4 weeks. Poised and confident with the puck and really skilled.

Andersson had a solid game too. Thought he was meh when I first turned on the game but he was noticeable in a good way as the game went on.

Well unless there are a ton of injuries I think its safe to say Staal/Gilmour will never be a pairing in the NHL

Gilmour looked pretty good moving the puck on the powerplay, but he's an AHL guy for sure
