he has the size and the speed to follow them. he could surprise imo. they need a guy who will do the dirty work.
if it doesn't work, too bad. nothing to lose.

You know the third guy doesn't have to always match his linemates speed. His role his to get to the front to the net and in the corners, nobody expects him to skate with the puck.
