Simmonds said he'd play center two seasons ago. Give him the captaincy already.

Article today about the move to wing. Maybe he was just being a good soldier but he seemed to really like the move to wing. maybe a little less wear and tear on his body.

Wasn't just being the good soldier. Was jazzed up about it.... said several times how much fun he'd had trying it out today. So, we will see.

Vecchione hasn't done anything to earn a spot yet. I'd like to see him score some points against men in the AHL and not just college boys.

Couterier was at 55% on faceoffs last year. That is the first time in his career he has been over 50%. Clearly he has improved (and players usually get better with age), but I do not think he is on Giroux's level, which btw, has been near the top of the league for a few seasons now
