I agree, but unlike Leivo and Rychel, he does not have to go through waivers to go down to the Marlies. He can be on the first line there and soon as there is a trade or injury - he can move in. Leivo and Rychel - if they make the team out of camp are probably going to the press box. Kapanen is better off on the Marlies unless he's in the lineup every day.

I hope Kapanen makes the team this year or gets traded.

Tough question but I think it's a no for me.

I'd rather trade Kapenen in a situation where the teams are gambling on potential, so maybe a younger RHD who is still developing but with upside.

We know what demers is, which is a 5 on a good team

I think they'd be willing to (or at least consider) part with Vatanen if it meant bolstering their RW depth with a certain fast young Finnish prospect.
