Goldobin and Rodin were very disappointing today. Was hoping they'd at least show some flashes of their offensive talent.

Botchford, Gallagher, Blake Price....

None of them will shut up about giving him a chance on the Canucks.

Common denominator? They don't know jack about hockey.

Never gave Rodin a realistic chance to make the team.
Goldy on the other hand looks lost out there at times.
Idk if he gets it & what it takes to make the NHL.
More seasoning in Utica is needed & even at that others can pass him.

Same. I really wanted Goldy to make a case for having him on the team this year but so far none

Juolevi is still really not doing it for me defensively. He also has bad gap control like Subban when defending against puck carriers through the neutral zone. Guy is not NHL ready. Game is too fast for him.

Only shot is as a top 6 winger & not looking promising.
His game has nothing to offer in a bottom 6 role.

Playing with scrubs not helping but yes at least 1 more year of seasoning is needed.
No rush while we evolve & draft & develop. Stay the course.

He was playing against CHL/AHL'ers mostly as well in this game. Ignore his draft position and call it like it is. He needs a lot of work before he's ready for the NHL. He'd get roasted if caught out against top lines in the NHL.

His defensive game is underwhelming. Gap control and pivoting is not even close to NHL ready.

Some players just seem to be a waste of development time for players. Rodin and Boucher fall into that category, would rather see more of Lind and Gadjovich than either of those 2.

liability issues, no pro sports league playing outdoors would play in those conditions.

Pretty much. I don't put much stock into exhibition games.
Young D rarely make the jump for a reason & we have the time to develop him.

On the bright side, he looks very calm and poised with the puck on his stuck, outside of that one giveaway he made the right play most of the time. And he looks comfortable in the offensive zone/PP.

I agree. I believe we r seeing the end of them making the team.
Good for Utica if clear waivers. When wingers need it teed up to be effective its nothing lost moving on to other prospects. Need to bring more to the table.

Holm is worse than Magma....a couple of our Swedish scouts should be fired out of a cannon for that signing
- CanuckDon

remember that he will be currently adapting to a different size of ice and nhl play. Needs a bit of time. See how he is in a few months in utica

His confidence & poise it what will serve him well.
Play in Europe will help him against men.
All a part of the process.

Wow, I can see what several posters were adamant about all summer long. Trade all the vets, get rid of the Sedins, Gudbranson, Eriksson, no need to have players like Vanek, Del Zotto, Gagner or Sutter.

I mean play the youth, they are so much better at not defending or drop passing to no one, those stick to stick passes that don't stick...thing of beauty I'm telling ya.

So much more entertaining...what a phenomenal game 9-4, holy excitement Canuck fans, get rid of the vets...

The thing about guys like OJ and JV is they need time. Last year JV looked horrible this year he did a 180. Got to give them time. OJ does not look NHL ready yet but he looks better this year over last year. 19 years old.
