MDZ made a couple of good first passes. Biega used the body on big Andy Andreoff in an effort to make sure he's not forgotten.

Markstrom was a bit scrambly but kept the puck out with LA started applying pressure in the later stages of the period.

I wish all of our dmen boxed out like Biega. He kinda struggles in all other facets, but his body positioning and use of leverage is great.

Burmistrov has patience with the puck. Del zotto looks good. Upshall is solid. White is just a brute. Goldobin still looks a bit loss if he isnt in the offensive zone. Virtanen is flying. Boeser is shooting the puck which is great. And i was really happy to see how solid Holm has played. He looks good defensively

MDZ seems like the right fit for Gudbranson...Gudbranson handles the puck like a grenade so he needs a partner that can handle all the zone breakouts.

Nice to see JV throwing hits again for sure after his flybys last season. Canucks sorely lack good forecheckers and he can fill that role if he keeps it up.(maybe not right away if he gets sent down due to too many vets, but at some point this year otherwise).

Goldy showed much better defensive positioning but his cross ice passes won't help his cause if it continues.

Man looks like the refs are really gonna clamp down on stick work this season, having good special teams early in the season will be crucial for teams.
