Top 5 pick no matter what the dreamers say and dayam we need it.
- VANTEL

Top 5 would be best but I think anywhere up to 14 would be a above average NHL player in the future.

there is way less pressure picking 7-15 because we get to snag the gems that other idiot gm's miss on

Hockey prospects has Kevin Bahl at 30th. He's a giant but he had 4 points in 57 games last season.

Van has to find a way to draft this kid next season. Best name ever and a hometown boy

I've had a couple and was wondering what I was missing.

McBain and Wilde sound like Marvel characters. I should follow junior hockey a bit more.

i still think GMJB has some minor trading to do after TG gets a feel for what he has to work with

as an example if Holm shows he's a player , that makes Edler or more likely Hutton expendable

Hockey just about to start and you guys are already starting in on mid first round picks....this time last year liljegren was a sure fire 1st or 2nd OA and no one had heard of Glass or Pettersson.

Lots of fun story lines in camp, looking forward to the game tomorrow.

Excited to see if Goldobin can can build off of his strong finish to the season playing with Horvat, whether Burmistov can look good between a couple of talented wingers in Sven and Boeser and most importantly does MDZ and Gudbranson have some chemistry.

Not so much

Last years draft didn't have the top end talent that this draft should. It was Patrick's draft to lose and he ended up in 2nd. This draft depending on how the season could go, might have a possible 6-8 players that could take the 1OA spot.

Brandon Tanev and Chris Thorburn, 11 minutes a game in Winnipeg.

Anthony Duclair and Max Domi, 15 minutes a game and lots of PP time.

Given opportunity most players numbers will increase. A team like Arizona where the opportunity is there unlike Winnipeg.

Shall see how he does Saturday night vs LA, sandwiched between Baertschi and Boeser.

Orebro finished 12th in the SHL last year and offers little in the way of NHL veterans, but between Bartley and exciting, young Latvian Rodrigo Abols, the team hopes to turn it around in 2017-18.

Praise from some guy about a prospect of Van's

Looking forward to seeing some cuts after the China road trip, always interesting to see the team unfold. I know there's not much room for young guys as there's not many kids ready at the moment, but you never know.

On that note, spent a lot of time in both Shanghai and Beijing, both great cities, Beijing being much more traditional (histories that go back a 3 to 4 thousand years) and Shanghai being much more modern...both great though.

The "kids" will get 4 games at least. That's great practice for the Utica squad.

I just don't see a lot of room on the NHL squad for many kids, I could see Boeser and Virtanen making the jump but no one else. Utica will serve it's purpose but a good AHL team doesn't excite me like some others.

Hopefully Molino, Virtanen, Goldobin or Rodin make Baertschi expendable sooner than later, not a big fan of his!

That's because you don't see it as a development league. I know you would rather see "kids" play in the NHL.

Brandon Sutter 43% ozone face-off starts. Vanek 71% ozone starts.

Sedin-Sedin-Goldy
Baer-Horvat-Boeser
Granlund-Sutter-Ericksson
Vanek-Gagner-Virtanen

extremely unlikely but would be entertaining

No that's not true at all, it is an excellent development tool. I've said so for many years. Still doesn't excite me. I just want to see kids that earn a spot at the NHL level, get it.
