it ain't happening without including Brady Skjei

and, I am dead set against trading Skjei's entire career for a guy we may only get two years

I don't know, Sakic has to make a deal soon before that situation gets out of hand. You hear a lot of the just make the best deal you can and move on chatter, so I bet the return on Duchene is nowhere near what Sakic was looking for.

I ain't going to happen, but I would do the deal that Tom proposed.

Tough to do it, but honestly, they ain't taking Staal's contract for Day and 1st. Andersson would be the centerpiece in ways. But, you are right, it ain't getting done without someone going the other way that's hard to part with. The question is what level of hard.

Well based on whatever flavor of crack Sakic is smoking, he'd probably want Skjei, Andersson, and a 1st.

I don't like only two years left on his deal, and I am sure it's something that a stickler in getting him traded to anyone, if there was only one year left they could start talking extension

To get a player like Duchene, you're going to lose one of Andersson or Chytil. Pick your poison.

NHL.com is really selling the winter classic stuff with the Rangers having the N.Y. as the symbol

I was really thinking that was just a temporary thing, guess it's the real deal

Short of Player like Jack Eichel, Brady Skjei should a no go from the moment discussions start.

My mom just told me she found some pics of when we went up to Rye w my Uncle for Rangers training camp in 1990. Spent a few days there during off days from school on an extended weekend w the Jewish holiday. Can't wait to see these again, hope to post. I had met (briefly) & got autographs from Mike Gartner, Bernie Nicholls, Turcotte, Domi, a bunch of scrubs too, many I can't even remember. Everybody was cool except for Nicholls who was a tool. So glad he turned into Messeir the next year.

edit-James Patrick too, how could I forget, he was the best, think he was hurt cause he was in street clothes & hanging w fans, all class.

Just his face screamed I'm an bumhole.

Wasn't he the one who shot the puck purposely into Kovalev's face or am I mistaken.

YEP & got suspended, also right after the Mess hat trick in Game 6 he shot the puck at Glenn Anderson on a icing & it set off a brawl. He really did have a great series that yr, damn that would have hurt extra hard if the Devils won that series w the ex Rangers they had like him & Carpenter.
