What message does it send to every other player in camp if AV publically announces that skjei is a lock before physicals even happen?

I guarantee AV has him penciled in as a top 3 defenseman for us already, but he's not going to say that. Saying that would be stupid.

- rangerdanger94

You mean AV, the same guy who said he'd play Staal and Girardi less and then didn't? Ok.

Any chance of swapping Staal's jock for Hossa's?
- Fenrir

Not unless Staal goes on LIRR. That's how Chicago is gaining cap space and getting out of Hossa recapture penalty.

So, apparently I was the only one to see the sarcasm in your statement?

I'm glad he sees his future as a Ranger. Going to come into camp with both eyes on the prize of securing a spot in the lineup. Good to see he has that tunnel vision of just working hard.

Really??
Not one, not 2, but 3 references to his vision?!?!

Too easy.

Didnt you just prove my point? He said one thing and then did the other in your example. Just like what he's doing with Skjei.

Anybody with a brain knows Skjei is in the top 4. Anyone with a brain also knows there's no benefit in announcing that when you're about to have training camp with kids battling for roster spots.

No I proved my point. That AV said he'd play aging player less and then didn't. When it was clear to everybody that Skjei was better. But because AV has a hard on for certain players and other players get stapled to the bench is mind numbing. Skjei, work harder and be better.

Are you really this big of an idiot? Do you really think AV doesn't have Skjei penciled into the top 4? Do you really think AV is being literal when talking about Skjei?

I would bet my testicles that Skjei is lined up next to Shatty or Smith in a top 4 role the first training camp scrimmage

it took half of last season for people to let 2015-16 go, I imagine it will take half of this season for people to let 2016-17 go

First scare of NYR camp. Kreider loses edge in skating drill, bails hard into boards. Tries to give it a go, struggles, winces, leaves ice.

Kreider seems to be walking fine but he won't be returning to the ice to continue the testing.

Price put out a hit on him and the boards were the lowest bidder

This is my fault. I put the hex on him, inadvertently when I said he needed to remain the teams leading goal scorer. That's my bad.

I do, because of he he handled Skjei (and to a certain extent Smith) last year.

@NYRangers: Chris Kreider is fine after leaving Group B's testing. He will return to finish his test with Group C. #NYRTC
