Just checked the Ottawa vs Leafs forum....for the last time.
Holy (frank), you guys are over there trying to uncrazy crazy. 938 pages of (frank)ing circle jerk posts with Spatsodumb and Doodooganger?!?!? It's like reading the forum while smacking your Richard on the desk. Enjoyable and painful all at the same time.

I was at the next game. They presented Mats with a 'silver stick' in honour of 500 goals. If I am not mistaken that goal was also a hattrick and overtime winner....
They lost the next game 4-1 to Colorado and looked like crap. The beginning of the wasteland years... |

I have always played defence in hockey and whenever a guy winds up for a shot like that I always make sure to get out of the way so the goalie can see it.... nice Dion. He also almost falls over about 3 seconds before that... classic! |

Totally.
Sundin also really (frank)ed us in the end. I suppose he negotiated his NTC and earned the right to his decision, but the fact that he went on to sign briefly with the Canucks REALLY soured me on him. Mats was a good leader and face of the franchise, but let's be honest, his accomplishments here are somewhat mediocre.
That said, in the past there are a number of trades and siutations that many of us have been unhappy with i.e. Sundin not waiving, the Muskoka Five, the Kessel trade, Rask etc etc etc... However, looking back at those situations and where we are now, I'm almost thankful that those situations played out like they did.
Those incidents sucked at the time, but we're now reaping the rewards after suffering for so long and at the beginning of a very exciting time in Toronto.

One of the biggest non-trades was Kaberle for Jeff Carter. Philly had a weird man crush on Kaberle for many years.
