Man that Burger's Priest Burger went down so well after I jacked this douches bike. - AdamFrench
Honestly, I find Burger's Priest to be overrated. It tastes fine but it's waaaay too (frank)ing greasy. With all that juice dripping down your chin, you start to feel like the gull... |

Well Said. Everything happens for a reason.
One of the biggest non-trades was Kaberle for Jeff Carter. Philly had a weird man crush on Kaberle for many years. - Schennski
I still struggle to find the meaning behind Lebda, Hanson and Phaneuf on this team though... |

Totally.
Sundin also really (frank)ed us in the end. I suppose he negotiated his NTC and earned the right to his decision, but the fact that he went on to sign briefly with the Canucks REALLY soured me on him. Mats was a good leader and face of the franchise, but let's be honest, his accomplishments here are somewhat mediocre.
That said, in the past there are a number of trades and siutations that many of us have been unhappy with i.e. Sundin not waiving, the Muskoka Five, the Kessel trade, Rask etc etc etc... However, looking back at those situations and where we are now, I'm almost thankful that those situations played out like they did.
Those incidents sucked at the time, but we're now reaping the rewards after suffering for so long and at the beginning of a very exciting time in Toronto.
GO LEAFS!!! - As_I_See_It
Sundin completely f'd over the leafs. didnt want to be rental..then signs for half a year with crappy the Canucks.
It all worked out now.
But imagine what we could have got for Sundin and that Kaberle for Carter and 1st deal.
I believe the year after the trade was nixed, carter had a huge year for philly.
But oh well. We're looking good now and hopefully Matts will do what mats was never able to do. Lead the team to successful playoffs. |

100% Agree.
I tried it and it was a sloppy, greasy (frank)ing mess. So much so the bun was instantly soggy, toppings were a stream down my forearm and got couple grease stains on my clothes... Needless to say that half-assed poop patty was jettisoned to the sidewalk faster than Cowen's career. |

assist / giveaway ratio in hockey could be interesting to track to get a better idea on the impact of some players..
(btw i'm surprised Nylander is so high on the turnover +/- ; that's an important factor to take into consideration while evaluating his defensive abilities - if he can do that not on a line with Matthews, he should definitely play C). |

Best fries though. Have to give them that. Here in Ottawa there are some prime burger joints too, but never the same fries. |

I love how these burger joints are "upscale".
I love 5 Guys, but man, what a premium for what you could easily do at home for way way less.
I know we all say that, but seriously: learn to cook a proper burger (never more than 3/4" thick and put a shallow indent in the center so it doesn't puff up) and you're golden. |

I love making my own, but with Mrs Lums in Hamilton and me in Edmonton still, cooking burgers for one is (frank)ing depressing. So instead I go to five guys. Plus the peanuts there are the bomb. |

most of these youngsters don't know how to make a cup of tea, fry an egg.. let alone cooking something a bit more 'complicated'..

Not even in the same league. 5 Guys has good fries, sure, but what's the point getting a burger from there? Same level as Harvey's/A&W, and inferior to just about anything in the frozen aisle(except the super low fat stuff).
Burger priest's patties taste better, buns are better, and all the options actually make it worth while going, because, lets be honest, not everyone is going to deep fry a mushroom stuffed with cheese at home, just to put on top of their burger.

I BBQ great homemade burgers.
But I still love a good burger joint.
Also, once you had in the various types of meat you have to buy, toppings, egg buns...it adds up at home as well. |
