I always get worked up about that. I can't stand when they don't fight back in the face of dirty poop. They don't need to give it back the way I want (ie, me yelling at the TV for someone to spear an eye out) but they should do as you said. RUN SOMEONE, sit Martin for 5 or 10 by having him run a star or their goalie. Eye for an eye.

I count 6 good years. He's a guy that can put up between 55 and 70 points per year.

I'd love for him to end up with the Habs. He's a great player to have.

He's just in a lose-lose situation.

Something happened. For sure. They have big money ownership, and are still having issues with the team. Moving out great young talent is not the way to build. JMO

Good years is relative - is a 55 point guy worth $6 million - maybe, not an underpay for sure. He has hit 70 once and has had a 28 point (in 58 games) season to go with last year's stinker. I would take JVR hands down over this guy if it was the same money - that's jmo. Neither is good defensively. When he becomes a UFA in 2 years, what is he worth? If he gets $7 million like Phil - he becomes an eyesore the first bad season he has.

PS.

I would like him on the Habs too, if Bergevin trades Galchenyuk and a first for Duchene, I'll open a bottle of 2000 Pomerol.
