Players gone this year or after:

Bozak
JvR
Komarov (maybe? I dont see Toronto paying a lot more than $3mil per year for him)
+2 to 3 depth rabble players

There's plenty of spots to slot in Leivo, Kapanen & co

Only during the season they'll have to juggle them around a bit.

yea ..but With Bo and Vlad ..you are talking a different level. Superstar Potential
- senstroll

Potential, yes.
Let hope it comes true.
But it would also be good to have some everyday players from system.

As you should.

Habs will be ready for their Octocup run though! Won't be easy!

- Scabeh

Most things that are easy are not that great. Leafs are significantly improved in most areas over the team where the streak began.

If they are gone, I hope we get something in return for the top two.
Komo can walk for nothing.

One of the things that makes the Leafs superior offensively is being able to throw out three very solid scoring lines. Not many teams in the NHL can do that. JVR is a 2nd overall pick with a great shot and loves to go to the net. No player in the minors currently replaces that.

Nah - he made some mistakes as a kid, I met him and even impersonated him. He's ok was a solid team player as a Leaf. When he was on the ice with Clark, it was awesome.
- winsix

I'm sure he's a solid guy but I'll always remember him as Flamer, he didn't accomplish anything as a Leaf. Hell the Canucks slapped their nuts all over the place on the way to a Cup final in 94.

Close counts in horseshoes and hand grenades - not so much in the NHL. Gilmour scored 127 points in 92-93 and 111 the next year. Better teams occasionlly lose in the playoffs, injuries, officiating etc have a part. If a team doesn't win a cup, there's little to brag about except a sh!ttier draft pick.

Rychel might be a good replacement for Komarov. He's a better at being tough and he does have offensive talent that might be better than Komarov.
