ADB just showed he's everything I thought he was: pure gamer. Not a camp or skills guy. Say what you want but at the end of the day, lets see how he does in NHL games

I agree - it is that stupid collar -- I think it is fixable, but needs a different approach than what they went with.

Yeah, it's the collar. The white jersey with red collar doesn't look as bad, but the red jersey with white collar makes the players look like pilgrims which is ironic given the Native American logo of the team.

Besides the collar (and not counting the fabric technology or whatever), the uniform is pretty much the same as in prior versions. So fix the collar and the jersey is fine.

I was recently in the market for a new Blackhawks jersey, I purposefully bought one of the ones from last season to avoid the new one.

I'll say it again, DeBrincat is in the NHL this year, whether he breaks camp or is a call up. I also think Hayden belongs. Bringing in these aging pylons didn't impress me, but organizational depth and experience can't be discounted either.

Based on last year if you extrapolate Hayden's numbers out to 82 games he would have finished 2nd in the NHL in hits last year and scored nearly 30 points. There is certainly a need on this team for someone who can play physical while also adding in a little scoring punch.

Another one to look at toward the end of next year is Sikura, who I would suspect gets a deal with the Hawks after his college career ends.

Like Hayden last year (and guys like Baun and LeBlanc before), I feel Sikura will sign with Chicago after the NCAA season ends and get a cup of coffee (if not play out the remainder of the NHL season) to see what he can do at the pro level.

I also feel that the signing Dylan's older brother Tyler to a Hogs contract may be to leverage Dylan to sign and not go the route of the Hayes brothers. IMHO, Dylan will sign with the Hawks even without Tyler in the system, but it doesn't hurt to have extra leverage.

As for big brother, I don't think Tyler is anything more than a career minor leaguer. So far he's been shuttling between the AHL and ECHL. I'm fine with him being nothing more than forward depth on the Hogs.

Sikura said that was his intention, he specifically referenced following the same path as Hayden. However, the way things go with college prospects I won't feel comfortable about the situation until Sikura actually signs a contract.

I would not count out Vince Hinostroza. If the Hawks want to get younger and faster .. well he is just that. Training in the offseason with Hartman and Kane, working on his skating ... edge work. I would like to see him make it since he is a local kid, but may the best player win the available spots. Still don't understand the "Jurco love" He is at a cross road in his career. Needs to win a spot or be a player that is good in the minors.
