If that happens who gets to work on his game in Lehigh? Amac?

I doubt he would be here to take Manning's role as 7th guy.

That being said, I also have a gut feeling Sanheim will make it very difficult for the team to make a decision.

I could see MacDonald sent down if the young guys play that well.

I still think there could be a move or two before the season starts. Just looking at the numbers and who could be here with the big club.

The Rangers are in Limbo and have been for years. Good enough to make the playoffs but never enough to actually do anything. You better pray Henrik doesn't take a step back in his play because if he does you should full scale burn the roster to the ground.

Maybe but even on the decline hank is miles ahead of what you have now and I don't think much of stolarz either..... just sayin

A move could happen there will be plenty of teams after camp opens with D injuries etc where we could move an Amac etc if we need to make room for three...

He's gone down past couple years in play and injuries, good luck this year, no Raanta or Talbot to save your a$$. Our team has depth in youth coming, we are in far better shape than you. Enjoy this season, might be the last enjoyable one in NY for a long time.

So it's an opinion with zero substance behind it. That's what I figured.

Since 2000, the Flyers average 1st round pick has been 16.888, ranking them 20th in the league in that regard. In the same period of time, the New York Rangers average 1st round pick was 15.5, ranking them 15th. The Penguins are 12th with an average pick of 13.929 (along with 5 top-5 picks in that time). If you're wondering who is 1st, that would be the Columbus Blue Jackets, with an average pick of 10.158. They had 6 top-5 picks, as well as 13 top-10 picks. In fact, only 6 of their 19 picks fell outside of the top-10.

It should be notedthat these are actual draft positions, so picks acquired in a trade are counted for the acquiring team, and not for the team that traded the pick away.

Agree. I think they want him and Myers playing all situations and handling tough minutes.

I know they have some vets in Brennan and O'Neil but i see Sanheim, Myers and Friedman playing a lot and in different situations

- J35Bacher

Sanheim already played all situations and handled it well. Brennan already sucks up every last o-zone start and all the PP time, so I can't imagine that changing too much. Maybe more PP time for Sanheim, but they didn't seem to think he even needed work there in the first place, so I don't know why that's suddenly a reason to keep him down.

And Brennan and O'Neill funny enough don't play all situations and are incapable of handling tough minutes because they don't play defense. Sanheim, even as a rookie, was better as an all-around, difference making presence than Hagg and Morin last year. I don't doubt they might send him down, but I think it would be a mistake. If one of Hagg/Morin wasn't there, he would be a foregone conclusion to make the team. So if it just comes down to, "They're older and need a look and we only are keeping 2 and it's not like it'll hurt him," I think that's silly.
