How dare you!!!

I think we should expect an uptick. Bogo can absolutely be a serviceable defenseman. The issue most of the time is just that he can't stay healthy. And then when gets back into a game after missing time looks like he's lost and looks that way for longer than is really beneficial to him or the team. If he didn't get hurt so frequently, it wouldn't be so bad.

Don't know exactly how it works, but Bogo seems like the perfect example of the type of guy you want to send to the A for a conditioning stint after he comes back from an injury. Also, with how bad our defense has been how many guys were forced back into action too soon? I am sure Kulikov was.

It's possible. But 2-3 games typically doesn't do it for him, though it depends on the injury. Seems the longer he misses from the injury the longer it takes when he gets back into the lineup to get back to game speed. He's just always a step behind. Usually it seems he finally gets back to where we need him and then he gets hurt again.

i wish it was just the injuries. low iq player + high cap hit is just a recipe for disaster. Im hopeful they can shelter him and inflate his stats but either way he can't be on this roster in 18-19

He isn't the smartest player on the ice to be sure.
That said, I saw quite a few Sabre players look lost out there the last two years under Disco Sucks' "system".
Like I said year ago with Lehner returning...I'll give him the benefit of doubt for a couple of months for him to get his game together...and I do believe he will.
However, at $5.5m per, he needs to play a much more solid game so he isn't a boat anchor.

It seemed like at some point Kulikov came back in because they realized he wasn't getting any better, so he might as well play hurt.

hes 27 now nothing about him will change, just his role. The underlying problem will still exist.

I was hoping to see this after hearing him with Peters on the radio. Rochs D is gonna be solid. Guhle, paetsch, Fedun, falk

Seems like Rochester should be much more competitive overall this year. The complete culture change from top to bottom within the Sabres organization is for sure trickling down to Rochester. I'll admit I haven't been to Rochester for a game in quite some time because I just couldn't justify the drive to go see a team that was probably better suited to be in the ECHL than it was the AHL for the most part.

I'm really interested to see what Ullmark can do there this year with a much more solid roster in front of him.

He was Vanek's sidekick in the vodka and gambling adventures.

Pretty sure his gambling days are over. He didn't get off super easy, though he did get lucky that he didn't get deported or get jail time, because he actually should have.

Has desired size and athletic ability. Experienced at multiple receiver spots. More talented than production would dictate. Tracks the deep throws like an outfielder and can adjust catch positioning without taking his eye off the ball. Consistently solid catch rate throughout his career. Adjusts to low throws and balls behind him to make the catch. Looks to turn it up the field quickly after the catch. Dips low and drives through cornerbacks while stretching for additional yardage. Small sample size during freshman season gave hints of his downfield potential.
