Im not sure about that, but in terms of where they were picked yes Valimaki was a great pick.

Juolevi was chosen too high.

Thanks Carol

Great to hear we have 3 refs, although with the way our friend likes to post it might not be enough.

OJ is going to be just fine .
Hes a smart player, if you don't notice him much then he's doing his job.
playoffs

Just because there are 3 doesn't mean we are all active, I haven't seen Micah555 in ages

I'm not a big OJ fan for where he was picked, but yeah it's waaay too soon to call him a bad pick, especially since he's a dman. I'd still prefer for him to play another year in junior and bulk up more, especially since London does a great job of developing. I'll be happy if he becomes a solid top 4 dman.

Just finished watching the game. Chatfield and Molino looked good. Lind and Gadj made some nice plays. Gadjovich has some nice hands and goes to the right areas, but he definitely needs to improve his skating. MacEwen has some nice tools, looked like he was trying to do too much himself though, but his upside a lot if he can play more within himself. Could become a nice bottom 6 player if he puts it all together. A good sleeper prospect.

I wouldn't read too much into guys like Boeser and OJ in this tournament though, these guys aren't going to play at 100% since they're waiting for main camp so I honestly didn't pay a lot of attention to them unless they were directly involved in the play. Boeser's shot though He has the kind of lethal shot you can build a PP around. That boy can rip the puck.

WPG's goalie made some nice ass saves despite the loss.

Does Olli have a heavy slapper from the point? Don't remember him having anything like that, but I also haven't seen too much of him.
- MaximumBone

Not as hard as Salo although he did score a beautiful slap shot last training camp. His Hockey IQ and positioning remind me of Salo. He also has a great vision of the ice and usually finds the guy in the open space.

I would have picked Sergachev over him. Joulevi was still in top ten of the draft and top 2 defence.

Of where the pick was I didn't think defense was going to be the choice, but everyone said Sergachev has a way higher upside.[/img]

Serge was bigger more NHL ready at the time. Juolevi has a higher ceiling. That maybe true but right now and then I still have Sergachev higher. I had Tkachuk and Jost higher than both defence men.

Did you see OJ hit the goon when he hit Chatfield?

OJ has put some meat on his body and does not look like a pushover anymore

No he does not. I think he was a great pick and will be a good part of the future of the Vancouver Canucks. I think we are going to see Montreal regretting Drouin for Sergachev over the next couple of seasons.

I watched Sergachev last year maybe 10 games he seems to be at the same level as OJ. He has a nice shot but OJ is a better player.

People forget he is 19. He put on weight. He is a very smart player. He looks close to ready and could beat out Hutton.

I liked Segachev's back story. He worked hard after going through some tough times. His Mom talked him into NA hockey. He came and it benefited him greatly.

He is 6'3'' 215lbs, He has a great two way game. Great skater for his size and has speed. Some would say he is even quicker than Juolevi to make a pass up the ice.

I may be the only 1 who had OJ as the top D in that draft.

Its pretty well known that JB likes a lot of my players.
