It's impossible to leave now you would be waiting in traffic for 6 hours and just leaving your car on the road when your out of gas ..

The problem is my grandma is very stubborn and she's not going to leave so we have to stay

The track seems to keep getting the Tampa area closer in its cross hairs. Should be an interesting Sunday.

Yep, first it was tracking west, possibly out into the Gulf, then east maybe brushing the east coast of Florida then smashing into Georgia/South Carolina, now it's back to the west coast of Florida, but we won't know for sure until she makes the turn. Not that it makes a hell of a lot of difference, the storm is the size of Texas. The wind field covers the entire state.

Edit: It's pretty amazing-in the abstract. In reality it's pretty terrifying- that she's overland in Cuba and still intensifying because the water is so warm.

Are you in the city, or are you in the burbs?

My aunt and uncle have a condo in Clearwater.

My buddy who owns a bar here (I used to also manage it) is going to stay at the bar during the storm. He asked if I wanted to hang out at the bar and watch some of the NFL games on the big screen, as long as we have power, but unfortunately I don't think my son is ready for that. He did order me some cases of beer though this week so I at least have that for the storm. As of now, I am going to my in-laws place for the storm but I am wondering if standing outside in the middle of the storm may be a better option. Being stuck with them is like being in one of the inner circles of hell. I can't imagine what it would be like with them with no power.

Bailey needs to control his body more and use his speed for a purpose instead of just racing up and down the wing. He'll just be a bottom 9 forward unless he can improve upon those things.

Yikes.

Stay safe. It's not like you can get to "high ground". It's (frank)ing Florida where 300' is considered a mountain. I was watching CNN earlier and a guy in Key West was boasting about how high up he was, 18 feet.

Where are your in-laws?

They are a few more miles inland in a town called Brandon, just a suburb of Tampa

That might be enough.

And so it begins. Starting to rain in Miami. Outer bands.

This keeps getting worse for you now. It should've been weakening by the time it got to you, but it's going to stay over 88º water for longer now, so you're going to get the brunt of it.

Give this guy a follow or a bookmark, he's got good info.

He's got all the charts you could ever ask for.

If I wasn't a filthy heathen I'd pray for you. Shifting west isn't going to help you anymore, it's just going to hurt worse, and I don't think it's going to come back east again this close(models get way better the closer it gets, not that I'm some weather genius) but it all depends on when the turn happens they say.

Ahh, never mind, it's all a hoax anyway...

Whats pretty crazy right now is that only zone A in Tampa is being told to evacuate, could get really bad for people here.
