While that was the nail in the coffin, he blew his knee in his draft year too and speed was always his issue.

Compared to most Brits, he seems relatively well composed...

Yes it takes great composure to explain to the media how your date tried to dispose of a cornlog - with a relatively straight face. Can just imagine the questions he will be asked at the pub.

I love Kadri but LOL...

Just because it isn't a blatant dive doesn't mean it's not a dive. I've watched a lot of hockey and there are some guys who are hard to knock off the puck when they have a scoring chance, but easy to knock down when they're not in a high percentage position. Kadri is that kind of guy. He doesn't do the Corey Perry "throw my hands in the air like I just don't care" but that doesn't mean what he's doing isn't diving.

A slower D man can make a living in the NHL, he just has to play to his abilities. Play on the PK a lot, block shot, clear the net, make a good first pass. Get you about 2 mil per right now.

Pylons are becoming a rarity in the NHL. Sure there are exceptions, but the best guys can skate really well. Besides, slow moving d-men reminds me too much of Phaneuf, and I'd rather not think about that steaming pile. (Still can't believe Leafs unloaded that contract)

Cowen looked promising at first, no doubt about it.

Didn't improve and injuries pretty much sealed the deal for him.

But hey, he's in Colorado now so... still alive I guess.

His rookie season he played 70 games, 2 goals, 12 assists, averaged almost 22 minutes per game, and was 1st in SHTOI/G for the Leafs.
