This is the question I posed to Ryan McDonagh today. First part of video is him talking about Derek Stepan in response to Jim Cerny question. I asked the third one regarding if there any differences having the game at Citi Field after playing at Citizens Bank Park and Yankee Stadium.

Excited about another Winter Classic game, we're involved in. Missed the Yankee Stadium games (I know that was called Stadium Series, whatever), don't want to miss this one. |

Our best wishes to everyone in Florida to survive this monster Hurricane Irma, including especially by me for my cousin, and some older former hockey playing mates who later relocated there. Our best wishes also include our own most recently departed, Dan Girardi, who purchased for $3M in Tampa, the home which was owned by his new GM, Steve Yzerman.
Meanwhile, the depth at center and possibly even more critical, the backup goal position, are question marks that may need to be addressed. Also, relying on Staal, plus about 1/2 an NHL season's worth of games experience in Deangelo on defense, & possibly another kid prospect should Holden be traded, in addition to an 18 year old rookie in Andersson at center, & maybe Nell in backup goal if Pavlec fails, may be asking too much. And center wise, that also assumes that Miller will make a successful conversion to becoming a full time center. |

Really? That's all very interesting. I've never heard any of that before.
Very nice, and true sentiment, though. |

I also said something similar here about those having to make it through Hurricane Harvey just 2 weeks ago.
Rangers matter wise, it's however, now two months later, and under one month to see if those issues will hurt them from the start. Remember that had it not been for that great overall extended start last season, when scoring at least 4 goals per game was routine, they would not have even qualified for the playoffs, as per their overall record thereafter.
I hope I prove wrong, but still worry all around about Pavlec to succeed in 20 to 25 games necessary as Hank's new backup, coming off his injury plagued .888 SV% of last season for the 11 games he only played. But many others here felt that he will automatically be Talbot or Raanta like, just because Benoit Allaire is his goalie coach. That's only a very hopeful assumption at best, for one that was not among their first three free agent signing choices to replace Raanta. That uncertainty this season in backup goal could in the end determine whether or not this team reaches the postseason in a tough Metro Div. and Eastern Conference. |

And be careful, 'cause I'm a Norway Pete wanna be! |
