Agree they should explore it but Wings likely only want futures for Athanasiou.
With this vet heavy roster where do they fit Athanasiou in top 9?

JB would have to move someone like Granlund or Sven if he liked Athanasiou more. Maybe that happens by TDL if he doesn't see extension fit. But he can always wait for Athanasiou to go to KHL and get him later at lower price.

Also, on moving Guddy not likely now. JB wants to extend Guddy and is giving him this season to prove how much more he's worth.
