OK going along with that what will the players still here have learned or gained from sucking? Considering the current vets r traded or retired we are left with what?
Players used to losing & prospects ready to step into that. Wanting abject failure hardly builds for the future & this blog would die from all the tears & female doging & finger pointing. Real healthy crap to look forward to (sarcasm)

Not imo, they had an 83 point season and were competitive up until all the injuries hit in February. Three wins and a shootout loss away from a 90 point season is not sucking, to me anyways.

Lucky as in a first overall pick? You still get to select really good young players, right, Juolevi and Pettersson are still awesome prospects without winning the lotto.

Toews wasn't a 1st overall lottery win pick, neither was Malkin or Draisaitl or Kopitar or Doughty or Marner etc...

I don't really care if we finish last or not, I just hope we are in a good position to get another centre prospect.

You don't need a generational player to win a Cup, neither Chicago nor LA have one and they won five Cups in the past eight years.

Toews and Kane are not generational talents but they have the same number of Cups as Crosby and Malkin who are....and one more than Mario Lemieux I might add!

That lotto pick only applies in round one . If you finish dead last and draft 32 that is like second first round pick. Lind was projected a first round selection and we got him with the 33 rd
