I think we know already, they'll just prove it by February. - LeftCoaster
Agree if we get a carbon copy of last year.
Idk if we can suck that bad again cuz so much happened its hard to see it again.
In goal where it will start n end IMO
Injury & depth wise & bounce back seasons i can see making us better than some would prefer to happen. I'd predict at the TDL we will be an ok team but should be sellers whether or not in sniffing distance of the PO's. At that juncture is when we all will expect changes. Hopefully at that point our assets make themselves very desirable & if not then we won't be in the mix & a high pick is in the bag. |

I THINK it means what JB said...
Up to 2 spots can be EARNED & guessing now is a who knows.
You're reading too much into it - Nighthawk
So after years of sucking and high draft picks there is no pressure on JB to get a contract extension by showing he's brought in new core players?
All these moves for stop gap vets maybe to shelter his two prized core players to show results. Make sure they are surrounded by enough NHL quality players that their NHL entry is successful now. Not riddled with live and learn mistakes by a youth group. That can come later as the clock is ticking on JB to get a new contract. |

We sucked for 2yrs not years.
No draft picks were named McDavid Eichel AM Laine.
3 Top 5/6 picks we got & when ready can play in the NHL.
Pressure vs patience is same as vinegar & oil...
JB has to stick to the process out of necessity |

I still had Seguin picked ahead of him.

By 2018 it's 5 years of sucking from 2013 with one fluke play off round.
Reality of business plays a role is what I'm pointing out. JB is getting on the hot seat. So some of his moves now may explain what he's doing. Trying to get the nod to continue with the patience of more of his picks to add to the turnaround. |

OK going along with that what will the players still here have learned or gained from sucking? Considering the current vets r traded or retired we are left with what?
Players used to losing & prospects ready to step into that. Wanting abject failure hardly builds for the future & this blog would die from all the tears & female doging & finger pointing. Real healthy crap to look forward to (sarcasm)
Cannot agree with any tanking notion without a fully laid out plan to study.
I'm open minded if in detail but not interested without it. |

Does Green have the stones to bench/scratch the Twins after a couple of poor games? |

Hot seat is a media induced hype machine.
What choice other than picks & patience do we have? NONE |

Maybe but players below them gotta push for it.
Maybe disguised as maintenance days off.
Sedins gotta suck pretty bad with the talent we have |
