You think?
My gut is Ceasar is the odd man out. Wouldn't be surprised either way, I expect 1 of them gone - Giroux_Is_God
Cesar is just a better hitter than Galvis.
Galvis's value is probably at a high. They're trotting him out there in the 2-hole and boosting his stats -- 2-hole is probably the most important batting spot (which is sooooo (frank)ing stupid to bat one of your worst hitters who can't get on base there ugh) -- he could get Gold Glove attention, and there just aren't many half-decent shortstops around the league. He's tradable, and I think they do it. We have his replacement ready. It's probably why the GM is fine with Pete being giddy about starting him in 162 games. Freddy'd have value here as a utility player, but he probably wouldn't be thrilled about a role demotion. He's a good guy, no doubt, but his ass needs to be traded IMO. |

That's the silliest complaint ever
If you think the content is of high quality -- and they hired some excellent writers across all sports, not just for hockey -- then you're getting your money's worth. We'll see. But it sounds more like, "I want it for freeeeee!" What business isn't about money? Huh? They have to make a profit and cover their operating costs. I didn't realize people trying to run a business are scammers. - Mononoke
I didn't say that.
I said the way they're doing their seven day free trial is crap.
I also said that the writers aren't doing it for any other reason than they need the gig (which I completely understand) but they'll write articles about "creative freedom" and "covering sports in a whole new way!!!1" as the reason they're going to the new place.
I also said that their Twitter promotion is incredibly annoying.
I never said a legitimate business trying to make money is a scam. |

The 2 hole is definitely a big deal in the order. I remember a season or two ago Bryan Price tried to bat Joey Votto there due to his high OPS and BA. People lost their minds due to his contract saying that anyone making that money had to be in the 3 hole. Price trotted out statistics about the 2 hole and everyone shut up but he also moved Votto back to the 3 hole. |

So you'd prefer they had no free trial? That they'd have less creative freedom to write the articles they want to write, many with more nuance than you'd see in the average LCD reporting? Should they do the honorable thing and collect unemployment checks to do what they like? And they should NOT promote themselves on the biggest social media platform, despite probably catering to much of that demographic? Would flyers in the mail be preferable? It's advertising. It's their job to make it seem like they have something you want. |

Nope - a free trial is a great idea. The bad idea is requiring me to give my cc info in order to participate in the "free" trial. (Meanwhile they'll be selling my info to other companies so I get more spam. yay)

I know fully what they are doing. I just don't care for the tactics. They're not genuine and they're heavy handed. Imho, of course. Annoying your potential customers isn't a great business plan.
And before you ask, yes, I do subscribe to several online sites. None are sports, however, as I've stated I haven't seen one yet that has content for which I'm willing to pay. |

Statistically, 2 hole and 4 hole hitters are most important. Trout bats 2, no one gripes. 4 hole does have the most RBI chances. Funny enough, the 3 hitter is considered the least important of the first 5 batters.
Pete (and Bowa) is just an old school guy and his man crush on Freddy is well known. He thinks Galvis is what a 2-hole hitter "should" be. |

Wait.
He'll help you wash your hands too? I thought he just pointed out the best cologne to match your suit and handed you a towel while keeping the bathroom clean and stopping stall sex.
Like, isn't that enough? |

Kingery probably needs more AAA time. I'm not even sure Kingery can be an everyday 3rd baseman.
Likely it's Franco for another make or break year. |

That would require him to be far too close to me in the bathroom.

I was talking 3 years from now, Kingery is maybe an August/definitely September callup candidate for next season IMO
I'm with you on Kingery at 3rd, that's why I was thinking they keep Galvis. Galvis at short, trade Cesar replace him with Kingery, and put JP at 3rd. He has the arm to play 3rd |
