Everyone knows I felt trading Schenn this summer was too soon if the Flyers were serious about giving their all for a playoff spot but I also feel like Mason is a much greater loss and an unnecessary loss. You can tell me Konecny and Patrick will make up Schenn's points, no problem with that. Elliot for Mason just isn't a smart move. - SuperSchennBros
Yeah, there was always something going on between the team and Mason after the first month or so of the 15/16 season. He started the season shortly after family problems, then left, then came back, and then things got weird and never came back. Including the goalie coach leaving the team that year. Somewhere in those personal matters and how he came back/handled it with the team is what burnt the bridge I feel, whether just or not. Whatever the reason for Mason not returning, I just don't feel it is predominantly about terms of the contract.

Lemme clarify my hot take. All loot grinding games go downhill at a certain point, my Destiny addicted home boy. They're fun at first, but eventually you reach the point where it feels somewhat empty and pointless and the game itself isn't as fun as it was, but you're going through the motions to GET.....DAT.....LOOOOOOOT. For me it feels like artificially extending a game's lifespan.

End game D1/waiting for D2 has been brutal. But the content schedule for D2 is so much more expansive. They allegedly have a year's worth of more content ready to go and the game hasn't even launched yet. I'm betting that they learned from their mistakes in D1 and won't make the same errors going forward.
Destiny in general is much more satisfying when you have a full fireteam of people you actually know. If you're not a PVP kind of person I could see where you could get bored with the game after a while.

I played WoW back when its popularity was at a high 10 years ago. I played a poop ton of Halo 2/3. I like FPSs and PvP and MMOs and all that. I'm not trying to take away your fun, if my comment sounded Richard-ish. For me, I get loot grinding, just only to a point before it becomes repetitive and more addicting than fun. Like if I'm going to grind, I need a way more expansive world with stuff to bounce around between. I just reach a point where I'd rather play something else when it feels too grind-y in end game.
You may just feel bad cause you don't know how to work flippers separately and are someone that just hits the flipper button over and over never really hitting the ball.

Never played WoW, that was my brother's game. Trust me I ain't offended bruh. Most of the time if someone doesn't like it they spout off with "zomg u play Destiny?! Dat game iz fooking ded bro LMAOROFL". I just play Skyrim with 10 different mods if I need a break.

All of that leads me to my summer long stance on the Mason situation. No one seems to know. Maybe rumours shake lose once the season starts. - mayorofangrytown
People know, but miraculously they're not talking.
I'd venture that Bill has a really good idea, but he is a man of character and won't talk.
