Interestingly enough, Charlie O'Connor has an article celebrating Baby Schenn's departure and the imminent return to 5v5 respectability for the Flyers.

all kidding aside, they should be significantly better at ES play for the following reasons:

Giroux should be fully healthy
Konecny has a year's experience under his belt and was already a good ES player
Filpulla and Weal will be here all season
Patrick has all the tools including great hockey sense to be an excellent ES player
Ghost should be better than last year at ES
Provorov (see Konecny)
The additions of Hagg, Morin and perhaps Sanheim should all be good for their ES play, all can skate and should improve their break out game.

All the following, who contributed little at ES are either gone or likely won't be regularly in the lineup:
Schenn
Streit
Schultz
Manning
Vdv
Bellemare
