Rasmus Asplund was picked by Buffalo with what would have been our 2nd rd pick (via EG-McCann trade). Buffalo got the pick from Florida in the Pysyk deal. As much as I like EG, I think he is more valuable in the room than on the ice. If he is moved, JB better hit a home run. Going to be such and interesting year.

1- Sign players that can be moved at the TDL for more picks and or prospects
2- Let the kids "bake" in Utica.

There will be injuries thats for sure. Players like Goldobin and Virtanen may not play 82, but they'll get their games.

This works for me. The Canucks won't make the playoffs. Another bottom 5 pick would be welcoming and that is likely what we will get.

I doubt it. I bet we are a bubble team if this roster has chemistry. On paper we are looking a ton better than Vegas, Detoilet, Colorado, Arizona, Carolina and New jersey. So in a way Vantel is right we are in a good spot to get a good many more wins that would set us picking at 10-15 that is not ideal for a rebuild.

You are way too optimistic. We SUCK. Top 5 pick for sure.

I like the Vanek pickup, 1 year deal so we can flip him/no risk. We have so few right handed wingers in the system I think he might end up in the top 6 if Boeser needs more time in Utica. Vanek is heavier than I thought, I'm glad we aren't one of the teams that actually gave up assets for this guy though.

It's Linden and his whole "we owe the Sedins to try and be competitive" thing. As much as people assume Aquilini is pushing for this, It's starting to look more and more like it's Linden's personal relationship with 2 players on the team that's really steering the ship. Not to excuse Benning of all blame since his execution of this bad plan could've been way better but the hiring of Linden as president set this team back a few years.

I honestly think Sedins are gone at the deadline. They talk like they want to stay Canucks but seriously who wouldnt want to try for a cup. My top guesses on where they do 1.Nashville (strong contender) 2.Ottawa (Burrows) 3.Tampa Bay (Hedman) and if they make it 4.NYR.

Also if Gudbranson doesnt sign by deadline hopefully hes gone, or canucks lose him for nothing

Miss Dahlin but still either get Merkley or Boqvist. Would be a dream to get 2/3 of these guys
