Why? Does extending two (not one) 38 year olds sound like a really smart thing to do?
- VANTEL

You know my position on that, however, from a business standpoint with no one internally ready to push them aside it's a good possibility. Sadly!

That's ok, I've got center ice package, I'll just watch Hextall do it right in Philly

And that is why Canucks get laughed at and are rated one of the worst hockey clubs right now. 20 mil in cap space and the answer is to re-sign the twins

Sorry that is like walking into a Asian rub and tug with 80 000 in your pocket and selecting the 75 year old owner as your masseuse

I agree but Linden loves em and he's in charge not me.

That is extreme but I feel pretty close to the same on that front.
- thundachunk

I don't think its extreme at all. Gaunce is terrible and there are way better options that are not only better defensively but can actually score more than 0 goals a year. Hank, Bo, Sutter, Gagne, Granlund, Burmistrov, Chaput are all above him, hell I'd rather see McEwen or Molino get a shot before him. With Pettersson and Gaudette in the wings, I don't see how he makes it back in the regular lineup.

Nolan Patrick says luck is on their side, not to mention Hextall is a good builder.

Edit: for the record I've said I believe Pettersson will be the best center taken in the 2017 draft and I'll stand by that!

Didn't you say you lost 30 lbs within six months of quitting drinking? Maybe he just needs to discover craft breweries.

Good memory. I was also doing a 10km uphill fast walk every second day and would beat the heavy bag with a ball bat and shin kick the (frank) out of it on the days I didn't walk. I couldn't punch the bag anymore because of poorly healed broken wrists. Then I fell off the junk food wagon and started eating pies and cakes in one sitting... I went Full Virtanen... everyone knows you don't go Full Virtanen.

Benning brought in Gagner and Sutter to shelter Bo Gaudette and Petterson , Granlund can probably play center. Benning seems to be spending a lot at Center and yet he still seems to have no confidence in his spending . Something doesn't add up .

Trevor is pulling rank on him? Gagner plays wing, too slow to play center, at least he was in Columbus.

Hey in this article that was posted a few pages back...

http://thehockeywriters.c...vers-prospects-at-centre/

It points out that Pettersson hasnt been playing centre much lately. Not sure if he's expected to either this season.
I wonder if Gaudette would be a good centerman for Dahlen & Pettersson - that might be pretty lethal a few years down the road.

Yeah, interesting that he has been playing more wing of late.
I suppose versatility is good, but would be nice to have someone that is a dominant C.

Casey Mittlestadt has all his skill... possibly more and 200 pounds of it.

Yes I'd read it before, that puts out a bunch of garbage, don't read anything into that. Pettersson was drafted to play center, wing is easier to play, that's all. He's young playing against men.

Yes it would! Linden was a winger in junior but Quinn turned him into a pretty good center, he was build like a stick back then.

Yeah he's fast, good shooter, can make plays, and is physical, could open up space for the Swedes.

Even tho Bo isn't considered 1C, if Bo, Boeser, Sven/Granlund were 1st then with Gaudette, Dahlen, Pettersson as the 2nd line - it would be pretty deadly and balanced - kinda like Minnesota's top 2 lines.

Then Gadjovich, Lind, McEwen and Virtanen in a bottom 6 physical role and Goldy, Molino or Lockwood to provide skill/speed - its something to possibly look forward to.
