I never thought I had the guts to come on here and converse with some of the all time greats (or at least those that I have secretly been reading since 2006 when it was exclusively Garth's domain), i.e.THE INITIAL HOCKEYBUZZ HALL OF FAME CLASS - Homie, Der Kaiser, DeadHead, JTSwinehart, Homer, Buffalohardhat, Buffalo19, Irish, Stripes, Wetbandit, McGuizzy, even some of those neanderthals from other teams like BINGO, DMarsden, jmatchett, cptmjl, .. truly in rarified air, .. sorry Gerbe or Sbroads, .. was never into the overly pessimistic point of view. I guess it's time for an actual take, .. let me just say, if we get healthy seasons from Eichel, O'Reilly, and Kane, along with some adequate production from some of the new blood, then we will at least be in the neighborhood of the latter portion of the playoff race in the East. Leave your analytics at the doorstep and get the hell out of here, .. I will always be one of those fans that believes in what I see, as opposed to what a chart denotes. I predict a contract extension to be announced today between 4-5. That or something else big like the Avs finally trading Duchene. Friday afternoon before labor day weekend is usually a good time for a big announcement to be made. - adambuffalo

Welcome blow to the board. I am a relative newby myself as i lurked for a while as well. As you know, the board is probably split 60/40 in terms of half cup full and half cup empty. Personally speaking, I always like to start my drinking sessions with a fuller pint vs an empty one.....
