You're free to do so but what are you expecting from me? Fedorov was never a Flyer. I wasn't old enough to see Fedorov play live nor did I move to Detroit yet. I gave my reasons as to why I feel highly of Recchi, one was leadership and I'll add that he stayed great in other uniforms. Fedorov wasn't a leader and wasn't very good outside of Detroit.

I'd be shocked (and someone else brought it to the table first on this page) if the next coach of the Flyers isn't already behind the bench when rookie camp opens.

Yeah but when that someone else is Bonerfide69, you tend to believe the opposite will happen

So when I say the words "THAT I'VE SEEN", what are you disagreeing with? Are you trying to convince me that I've seen better?

Mark Recchi was a great offensive player who played at a high level over a long period of time. Great offensive player while responsible away from the puck. Federov however was one of the few players who in his absolute prime was capable of scoring 50 goals and 100 points while also being a dominant player defensively and without the puck.

My thought as well. However I would make some exception for a guy acquired very early in his career or a guy traded towards the end like say Ray Bourque.

Absolutely, I would consider Federov, in his prime, to be one of the best 2 way forwards in hockey history.

So not a fan of having #88 retired then?

I'm fine with Recchi's number not being retired here but I'm gonna give the credit to Mark Recchi none of you want to give. Mark Recchi might be the most balanced player I've ever seen play. I've seen him play both wings for extended periods of time as a Flyer. I've seen him play center. I've seen him take many faceoffs. He was an all situation guy (PP, PK). He was responsible with and without the puck. He was a leader where he went. He could play the point on the PP. I didn't know whether or not to call him a sniper or playmaker because he had the perfect balance of both. He didn't fight much but he could fight and play a gritty game as he got older.

Second stint, this is an accurate descrption. First stint, he was a prolific scorer but fairly one-dimensional (but.when a player scores to that level, you live with it).

I know it nit-picking, but is it possible for the next HC to actually be someone with experience? I know that doesn't truly mean they may be the best candidate but damn...

Stevens, Berube, Hak. Thats a lot of noob.

Not to get off topic but I know all are, but some people down in Texas and Louisiana are going through some very rough times right now and they need our help. Not just our thoughts and prayers but also if you can spare anything the Red Cross can use some help. It's times like this when I realize how good I have it and I'm so thankful for that.

For Christ's sake don't give to the Red Cross. Houston will never see it.

Give to local charities raising money if you don't want to pay the corporate execs of the Red Cross and instead want your money to actually go help people.

This coming from the guy who exclusively judges the team whom he claims to be a fan of.. As a fan of 69'n Boners, I would expect you to understand that all we are, are fans.

Just spreading the word that the Red Cross is corrupt and uses no where near "91%" of every dollar donated. It's important information to know.
